A desire to provide the local community of Concord with the experience of an old-style, all-day food emporium lead the creative thinking in the recent upgrade to the existing Organica restaurant, café and patisserie. In-demand creative agency DS17 took their design direction from the building, the c1921 Central Picture Palace and Ritz Theatre, putting an elegant and contemporary spin on its traditional design elements with an emphasis on Hollywood regency style.
Materials were selected to create an atmosphere of warm, full-bodied hospitality, where patrons are taken on a culinary journey to celebrate the senses. Fittingly, Fibonacci Stone’s ode to the comestible aromatics, Fatima’s Reflection, is given star-billing as a featured floor in the dining spaces, also adding a sense of old-school glamour to the bathroom walls. The versatility of this stone is highlighted by the way it dramatically compliments the rich walnut timber banquettes and tabletops, the deliciously thick honed marble counter, rattan chairs and clever accents of navy, burgundy and peach hues. Bravo to Organica and DS17 on this stunning encore.
