Merewether House by Horton & Co design featuring Abstrakt.

Horton & Co Design have designed a bold, 3 storey family-friendly home, made from honest and durable materials that age and adapt with a family where music and entertaining play a big part of their day to day life.

Fibonacci Stone’s Abstrakt terrazzo was showcased both inside and outside of this home, with views of beach, city and district of Newcastle. Featured in the bathrooms and throughout the main floor in a Honed finish and referencing the playful elements of design from the 1950s to 80s, Abstrakt’s inkblot-like shapes in shades of grey marble are set within a white base and present an assured, modernist form.

Otherworldly in shape and form, Abstrakt is sublimely gentle in its palette and composition, its pieces seeming to drift breezily around each other. Horton & Co specified Abstrakt in a Sandblasted finish for the external areas of the Merewether House, creating a seamless link between the inside and outside of the home.
